I think you shouldn't listen to anyone that can't even do proper drawings. Secondly, there's millions of people with the same hairstyle. Even those edgy alternative style tumblr artists have basically share the same wardrobe/hairstyles. Like their characters all went to the same barber shop in Br…
Not to discourage you guys but environment artist seems to be the rarest skill/passion in most webcomic artists. Most people with those talent/passion would go for animation or game business. There's always guys who want to get their feet wet tho. Anyway good luck.
I'm not really angry I just like to provoke people. I actually mostly deliver my post in an oxymoronic way. I think you're a nice person.
Damn that's one beautiful way to explain things. I have pretty much the same thought.
Sorry maybe I should change the title. I also talking more about the poster above you. I get that you get his skill and all. Also about the Korean stereotype.. It's just what I observed. I mean @keii4ii arts put us into crippling depression.. Or at least me. I don't have the Dungen-Kruger Effect.
I just don't personally like if somebody said.. "Sure this artist is great but just leave it at that, I don't really want to discuss his technique because it's not my style so that'll be fucking waste of time"
I said if, and only if you can't appreciate the thing he does, then you just don't understand that's all. Everyone can have a preference of course, me for example I would like to point out if somebody has bad taste or that they're being ignorant. That's just my preference of course.
My goal is to be able to really draw one-inch punch in one frame while not using speed lines, and to deliver the same feeling I get listening to MTH's Black Power G-man Spy through my pages, so isn't anything to do with his art, it's just the thing he does amaze me. Am I the only one here that can …
Yeah Procreate is the only app worth mentioning for serious artist working with an iPad. If you use a Pro there's Affinity Photo but it really geared towards photo manipulation, and a lil bit of vector art. It basically have most Photoshop function. For the sole purpose of drawing there's no better…
I appreciate your preference, but saying artist working for the big two have the same generic style isn't true. Marvel for the most part have diverse styles it's just DC who until recently, stuck to their DC style(Jim Lee's style). JRJ, Frank Quietly, Essad Ribbick (I mah have butchered the spelling…
I didn't know that so thanks for the info, as in the art school thing in South Korea and South Korean mentality. But then again most comic artists start drawing since they were kids. Japanese I think have the same attitude as Koreans in pressured into greatness but none of them could draw in the way…
This guy here https://www.instagram.com/kimjunggius/ As of my opinion I don't think his brush work is even possible to do. I mean he figures his anatomy, composition dynamics, number of strokes, line weight, black spotting pretty much in one go, in that one stroke. That stuff is just impossible. I…
A Tenga product, because Ryo from MTH is one of the brand ambassadors. Since I want to make a comic as beautiful as his music sounds, being in the same wall of fame is of course one of my life goals.
Draw it in a way that you can differentiate the move from other moves like Laser Flip, Casper Flip, etc.. and all of their variations. So just drawing from a screen cap won't do it since it'll look like a freaking kick flip or any other flip. I think it's almost impossible to do, but that's the chal…
If you think all of the above are too easy, draw a Dragon Flip. It's a skate move search in it on YouTube. Draw it in a way that shows all the intricate movement of the feet and the board spinning. I don't ever see anyone who's have the caliber to draw things like that so you may be the first.
If you can't walk properly, but need to walk across from point A to point B, then use your crutch or wheelchair if you must. Heck there's this thing called hoverboard, it looks retarded but it has this gyro-thing that helps stabilize your lazy a**. Or there's this thing called VR, lets you do everyt…
I get that. But this is the same amount of work to posting 1-2 pages weekly, just without the instant gratification of viewers liking or commenting on that 1 page you just posted. If you really want to tell a story, like you really have something to tell and you believe in that idea I don't think sl…
Yeah that's my point if they're not at all serious in their art then they shouldn't take issue with anyone not taking their art seriously. I mean they can, and anyone can ridicule their complaint then anyone else can can defend the creators and so on. A circle of life. Sure cringe compilation is s…
Am I really the only one here that despise these page by page schedule on long-form webcomics? I mean it is a freaking LONG-FORM. Imagine reading a novel a short paragraph a week, if that. Translate to a comic page that's 2-3 sentences sometimes. Imagine 1 minute into sex your partner say,"let's …
That feet size is perfect for this style. It's is clearly larger on male than on female. That same face style only happens in the actual comic, in this design sheet I think it's different enough. To the author, just stick to character design sheet and you're gold.
Some people are just pessimist by nature. I myself with my snobbish elitist thinking, skill notwithstanding, can't help but want to shout out loud "this is straight out garbage" or "this is a drawing only a parent could love", etc whenever I see bad artworks, which seems as abundant as sedimentary r…
No. But doesn't to be really good either. Comic is more about sequential visual art rather than just art + text. So if you can tell a story you want to tell panel by panel through your art I think that's good enough. Depends on the reader though, it can be the best story written carried by the best …
Okay like in this video notice how he change certain things to make the shortening looks good. Foreshortening is tricky to get right, even if you trace it 1:1 it would still looks wonky if you mess up on the lighting. Also he exaggerate all the poses to better show the line of motion, that kind …
I'm a really bad teacher with my bad grammar and I think video is a far better medium for that purpose. It's a very broad topic that you can spent hours on. So instead just of posting a video link I suggest you google search "sycra's simplified anatomy model". I don't know if it's the best but it'…
Yeah it's you. Some serious skill your husband have. Does he post any of his artwork online?
The lineart is just godly. What pen/brush/etc do you use? My guess is fountain pen but I could be wrong.
To convey motion you kinda have to exaggerate certain limbs, so actually that's about perfect.
Exactly. Anatomically correct, you can be mad at me but I'm just being blunt, it's too stiff. The thing about gesture drawing is it push you to really think about the motion you want to convey, how to shift weight, etc, etc. It's about cultivating habits. Gesture drawing lets you critically think …
The problem with using any 3D posing tools is that you'll get anatomically correct figure but stiff posture that most mediocre comics suffer from. The easiest way to learn drawing poses is through YouTube. There's Sycra, Sinix, and countless others that are a lot better at teaching art than most …
