Having Alien Races that's Mostly Human/Humanoid

Mine is plot relevant for comedic purposes. They're inspired by Hylians from LOZ. IMO, it doesnt really matter, the only thing that ever ticks me off is when people make alien- or any non-human species, where the men are more nonhuman in appearance and the women are.. well. you know.

thankfully its never happened although i've been told that my comic (past iteration) was 'homestuck but better' now i jokingly refer to it as 'steven universe on adult swim' to me, it is what it is, although i'm lucky i haven't had any actual criticisms like that hurled at me, so i may be biased…
