You can find me @phoerencomics. I'm still learning what kind of posts to make but it's usually comic process vids and teasers.
Ummm, 5 comics and 1 novel... Why did I do this to myself? Though, honestly, I love working on them, I just wish I had the forethought to blast through one at a time.

I just think you could apply that same logic to any number of labels.
I dunno, seme/uke/seke are labels, not really defining characteristics. If a creator cannot expand past the stereotypes associated with the term than that's the creator's fault and if a reader thinks that real people can be boiled down to these stereotypes than that's the reader's fault. Maybe th…
I ink last. It does leave the lines nice and bright. Though yeah, trying to see the pencil lines under the paints can be a struggle. Oh, and I do brush inking with speedball super black ink. I have noticed my watercolors wash it out a little if I ink first.
I don't know if they're still doing it but Ratique said before that they were periodically changing the landing page for comics and novels to offer more visibility to other genres
I've got a BL comic with a human and werewolf couple. (So technically he's 'human' most of the time, but still a monstie)
Thank you so much. [:blusht:] Glad you've enjoyed it so far.
I've got multiple comics but these are the regularly updating ones. Devour is about human and werewolf husbands trying to live their lives along those who don't understand their relationship. And Life Less Ordinary is about four roommates and their relationships as they grow closer together…
Oh, what? You did all of the outfits? You're amazing. [:tapa_pop:]
You'd be drawing the outfit featured in their 3 ref pictures. [:smile_01:] Do it, do it. Keep the thread going. [:tapa_pop:]
Ha, nice. Rod pulls it off nicely. XD I'm still leaving this next slot open. Don't have time for another just yet.
@UrMom Props to you for having the patience to do a comic in colored pencil. You're blending and layering is really fantastic.
Hey, no problem. It's a fun idea for a thread. And as far as Crypto's outfit goes, I could always use more practice with hats and collars.
Edited my initial post with my boy dressed as Crypto. Hope a sketch is alright. That was a fun warm-up. It'd be fun to do another, but I gotta get back to comics for now.
And here we have Emmett dressed as Crypto. He's staying true to the original outfit but he'll keep the trench coat belted up for decency's sake. [image] Perhaps the person below would like to draw their character in Emmett's medieval jumpsuit and heels? [image]
I had an "art party" of sorts where a friend introduced some fellow art friends to brush inking. (I was using ballpoint pen before oh, the wrist pain) He shelled out for the brushes and we all did practice drawings. It was fun and I was hooked. It took some practice though to get less wavering line…
Heyo. Another traditional comic artist here. I do one of my comics in india ink washes and the other in watercolor. I like Dr Martins Radiant Watercolor. I also ink my comics with a brush. [:smug_01:] The cost of paper is definitely one of the downsides. I do my page layouts on regular computer pape…
Yes, so glad this is coming to New Horizons!
I can finally do three legitimate pullups in a row. [:smug_01:]
That sounds awesome. I believe chocolate and peanut butter to be the ultimate combination. I agree with you on wheat bread. The texture isn't usually pleasant. (I don't have any sugar limitations so I'm thinking brioche bread. ___) Sounds so decadent and delicious. I really wanna try it some time. …
More details please. [:hohoho:]
Yep. If you click on your cover in "Edit Series" you can replace the file.
It sounds like a decent length to me. My chapters are typically between 700-1200 words.
I don't know if it's the same for Doki, and maybe I should have said so in my original post, but my level of self-absorption is at a point where I feel guilty if I spend time engaging with other media, even if it's something I'm excited about. I know it's not with any ill-intent, but it feels a lit…
I feel this with my entire being. I'm always trying to squeeze in a little bit of art progress at all hours. I've turned all media I enjoy into basically a podcast. Video game? Lemme turn on auto-battle and sketch between lines of dialogue. Even better if there's a matchmaking queue so I can wor…
Not a 1 to 1 comparison but this topic makes me think of ReBoot. Hopefully the video game characters are just putting on a good show for the player and they go back to some mundane daily life while the game is turned off.
I'm using Google Chrome from my phone. This version if it helps at all. [image]
Lol, reading through this thread and I just think we should do comics like early 3D gaming. First chapter is your general info about the characters with your highly polished concept art. The remainder of your pages is block folk of questionable quality. XD It's ok, the readers know what they're s…
