Why can´t you draw digitally right now?

Digital drawing has a lot of advantages and I love it, but I feel like I´m getting more done
when I draw traditionally and I´m more focused. I also love the feeling of pen on paper.

I scan the 5 pages today and I´ll color and clean them digitally. I´m too scared to mess
up the pages when I color them traditionally + I also don´t have the tools for it

Redrawing 5 pages because I made the mistake of not making character sheets
After page 5 I realised that I didn´t like the face of the side kick and the clothes of
the characters. I messed up the shoes in several panels, was too lazy to do the pages
again, then made them all black and it looked horrible. I´m also doing the pages again
because the hair of the female character was a nightmare, I wanted to try something
out instead of drawing the hair like I always draw it and it was a mistake. The good
thing is that I learn a lot.

Pencil sketch, new version, old version

Traditionally I mean. that was an error. I can't afford a sketchbook

A WIP of my OC Inoa. My last drawing of her was from exactly a year ago

I will do 100 quick sketches from the posemaniacs page.
And I tried out some long hair 3d look I will use for one
of my characters.

2/100

and I did a portrait thingy again, it took me one hour to do this.

I´m doing at least 30 minutes of one minute quick sketches right
now and one hour portrait drawing practice

I have a superhero comic in mind that I haven't started yet and I don't think I'll be starting it anytime soon but I just want to make art of the superheroes
So here is this

I like the hair. It looks very vintage. Reminds me of the black and white movies I watch

Portrait structure number 2. I will do 32 more and then go to the next
lesson. I have lost count on how many times I tried to pull through the
portrait course. It´s really hard for me. I got better at drawing faces
and it also helped me to get better at drawing in general but it´s hard
to finish the course because I´m a perfectionist and it never looks like
something I´m satisfied with

I did around one hour of figure practice and one hour portrait practice today
The face structure of this portrait looks a bit weird because it´s so long
but that´s how the reference portrait looked like

I feel the same way about the drawing course I started. I'm going to try and restart it in April, and maybe i'll actually finish it for once

Portrait practice 4, 30 more to go before switching to lesson 2

I´m only learning one tiny detail about anatomy at the moment. I´m focusing
on the pelvis right now, it´s really hard for me to understand, remember and then
imagine and so important for figure drawing.

Number 5 with a quick one value shading

Apologies for the unprompted feedback.

I couldn't help but notice your shading didn't match the planes of the face. I wasn't sure what direction your light was actually intended to come from so I made these two different examples. A few things to keep in mind is that eye ball are spherical and will catch light even if surrounded by shadow. A 2nd thing is the lips, they way they sit on the face, the upper lip will generally be bast in shadow, while the underlip will catch light (if the light source is positioned above the character.)

Another thing I like to play with it how the nose also cast a shadow on the face. You can create this little triangle of light (in the style of Rembrandt) on the opposite side of the face.

no need to be sorry but your versions don´t look like the shading in the reference picture and like I wrote
it´s a quick 2 value shading which matches the reference
