@Leyelle Yeah burn out sucksss
at least I got a lot done before it hit, I finished last seasons dream journal at 60k words (why the heck can’t I put that energy into a novel??) But also I guess I’ve been focusing more on writing, I did actually finish the draft for short story… doom?? I also finished up the outline for a … new novel …
OK!! Okay, I know, THIS is why I never finish anything
it’s also the severe mental set backs too, schizophrenia makes things impossible sometimes. I think I just need to focus on rest, I think you should too! 3 days of resting creates more weeks of creating, instead of 3 weeks of painfully trying to make yourself work on anything with nothing becoming anything
rest rest rest 🩷
@Lensing Ooh, yes talking about projects does help, sort of? Sometimes it just helps brainstorm most of the time. I really think my mental health just gets the better of me sometimes when I forget to eat, sleep, and do anything else but draw and write. I guess I can’t run on 4 hours of sleep a night for two weeks
help, I’m addicted to drawing?!
Also, find people who are interested!! There are actually people who are, in my experience. Me and brother actually just talk about my stories non stop
and when I hang out with friends, we talk about our stories and characters for the entire day. I’m not joking we hang out from noon to eight lol, sharing the manuscripts, editing, world building, collecting photos and art, drawing, just joking around! It’s very fun. All my friends are writers, though, so it is in our interest.
@abigaillmartin Harry Houdini lore is welcome here
Also the way you portray it makes it’s funny and interesting so it’s fun to read along the comics you make. I still can’t get the image of the Blonde Houdini and Black Star out of my head lmao peak comedy
only we would get it tho.
