I think miu didn't want to be mean. The sketch you showed was already so good, they could have been lines. I think Azifri needed somethin in between the one you sent and that other one with the red lines. Like, just use your pencil sketch and make the silhouete a bit more crisp.
I use the same method as you do, with the rough sketches first 
(I do the lines traditionally aswell). And then I do them nice and clean so my inking is easyer to do.
Like this for an example. I have the thumbnails on a small paper to give me a rough idea and directions and then apply them to a bigger paper. In my case yellow, but the color doesn't really matter, it just helps me with scanning, when I add the inks.
This method just makes it easyer for me, to ink.
