I'm hoping to use a novel I've been working on the side for a year now. It's different than all the others I've ever written before so it'll most-likely be over-looked by most readers during this camp. I always write stories with fantasy/magic/tech in them, but I've always wanted to write something that had nothing out of the realm of reality, so to speak.
This story has stuff that could happen in our reality, right now...It just might take some strange twists of fate to make it happen. Being as there's no magic, I had to have some sort of uniqueness to it to make me feel interested in it enough to write the story.
Basically it's a romance between a very A-typical guy (he's definitely NOT your normal 'cold/aloof/intelligent' types of guys you see in the romance genre a lot) and a mostly typical girl in an anything but! situation.
My plan is to have this romance span the course of years (in story...maybe out of it, not sure how long it'll take to write it all).
But when I look at all these other ideas for this Writer's Camp, I'm wondering if my idea is the wrong one to go with...
