Bruh being born in the 90s is weird... (I will not reveal my exact age, but let's say I'm old enough to somewhat remember WTC attack)
I feel my experience differs from many 90s kids', for a number of reasons? First of all, I was born in a post-socialist country, and in the 90s it was still recovering, socially, economically and culturally. It was an awkward transitory period. Secondly, my family was poor, even for post-socialist country standards - we didn't have cable TV, a computer, or any game consoles (I remember we got a Famicom knock-off in the early 2000s, and we had a blast! ) so most of the typical movie/show/game nostalgia is something that I can't relate to, unless I caught up on some of these media much later, when I finally had internet at home.
I do miss the 2000s a lot tho, everything about them... I hate how the 2020s have started before I even mentally processed the 2000s being over (mentally I'm still in 2008, and don't plan to leave, particularly in those apocalyptic times, kthx)
