1. I love writing Alicia and Kattar teasing and flirting with each other. It's spicy but wholesome at the same time
2. I think Kattar's looks keep shifting slightly when I visualize him, which reminds me how many different types of faces can fit a basic description lol
3. Surprisingly Kattar and Alicia are NOT the largest height gap I've ever written for a couple. I have one (currently unreleased) couple with a 13 inch height gap. And another female character with a crush on a guy approximately twice her height.
4. I set lots of my stories in Maryland just because I lived there for so long, so I have a stronger gist of it than I have with any other place but the Dominican Republic. I will probably set a novel here someday too, but I already have a short story written (and published) set here.

If I could get one person's advice on writing a story, i'd probably ask Charles Dickens' advice on how to describe characters well

1. My writing about the international mail system was based on my experiences in the Dominican Republic and my auntie's experience in ghana.
2. I don't know a lot about cars and I can't drive, so writing the first scene was difficult lol
3. I enjoy describing Kattar's facial expressions way too much
4. I wasn't really clear on what my FL looked like when I started writing the story, and she just built up over time
5. I like writing very short or very tall characters for some reason
6. My favorite Chapter titles are "White Hole" "Black Bile" and "Sanguine Thread."

1. Half the reason Alicia wears ugly clothes is probably just because it bothers Kattar
2. Alicia actually likes being tiny, it makes her feel cute and snuggly
3. Kattar isn't as tall as you'd expect given that his mom is pretty dang tall for a woman
4. being short doesn't actually run in Alicia's family, every member of her family including her mom and grandmother were/are taller than her
5. Despite always being described as beautiful and glamorous, Mrs. Moon looks older than you might imagine (because they aren't mutually exclusive) she doesn't have wrinkles or gray hair, but you can still tell by her face that she's nearing 60.
6. Alicia's mother was only 18 when she got married and had Alicia, so she was only 35 when she died
7. Kattar doesn't know his own mother's age
8. Kattar sometimes has a hard time remembering his own age, (thank you medication.)

1. No one knows exactly how Teresa Tryon died. Alec said it was a heart attack.
2. Gallus and Friar share a volatile history, to be expanded later.
3. I have not yet figured out who Friar's "layparents" are. I had originally thought Gallus, but a white rooster coming from a red didn't make much sense.
4. Bucky calls Friar "mate", because it's gender-neutral, and also a term of "friendearment".
5. Friar doesn't like being called a hen, but he's said that he's not a rooster either. He's still trying to figure it all out...(so am i, though "he" just makes more sense to me for the story going forward.)
6. Baltzar (the shortest owl) is the leader of the other two. He is not as blind as the other two, which is why he literally leads them...
7. I am currently writing the Halakaw for an extras webpage (on ComicFury), though I may feature bits/pieces here. It has a genesis, exodus, and plays off some biblical stories, but for chickens.

I forgot lol "Hushabye Prince" got seven likes so

1. Kimberly has another name that isn't American, but she goes by Kimberly because it's easier to fit in that way
2. Other kids used to think Kimberly was weird because she would (literally) talk with her hands even while speaking audibly
3. Mad and Hallie are both immigrants
4. Yet to be seen, but the school Kimberly works at is named McDaniel Prep after my queen Hattie McDaniel, the first black person to win an Oscar
5. I wanted to make Kimberly have performed in a remake of "For Colored Girls Only" which is a play my mother was part of when she used to act, but I don't know if it's legal to mention it by name lol. she was also a pageant girl.
6. For some reason my leads in my romances are always much older than me, but the age discrepancy between Jinwoo and Kimberly is pretty sizeable
7. It's not nearly as sizeable as it was in the original version of the series I wrote when I was 14.

1. Mrs. Moon is a full decade older than Alicia's mother would have been if she was still alive
2. Only a few days ago did I decide on a name for Alicia's mother
3. There are a few characters I have yet to decide whether or not they should have another appearance
4. There are several more ideas in book two of Damsel in the Red Dress that were not initially planned but wrote themselves in as I was writing the individual chapters

1. Alicia has changed the plot approximately 3 times now, and I have officially ceased to have control over her behavior lol.

2. I've spent far too much time researching medication and drugs for this series
3. legal drugs and illegal drugs are both going to have a strong affect on the people Alicia loves...or used to love.

five likes on "Damsel in the Red Dress" yesterday:

1. Kattar's phone screen saver is a picture of himself and Alicia laying on the floor of his room when they were teenagers
2. Mrs. Moon surprisingly has no pictures of Kattar anywhere in her house, because photos of people would mess up the houses aesthetic. She also doesn't use him as her computer screen saver, or her phone lock screen, but he is set as her phone home screen picture. The picture is him at about 3 years old.
3. Alicia carries a picture of her little brother in her wallet.
4. Before Jinho knew that Alicia was Andrew's big sister, he just thought Andrew had a creepy obsession with some Mexican model.
5. Jinho is the shortest male character in the story. Emelia is the tallest character period. She's only two inches shorter than Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson

I got 20 likes on Reaper's Storm yesterday, and I just now remembered this thread, so uh... let's do this again!

1. The name "Reaper's Storm" was a name derived before any significant plot points had actually been thought out. It has a very big significance now, but when I first started, I lowkey just wrote the name cuz it sounded cool
2. The main character, Poppy, began as a male character named "Popeye" who was so remarkably short it was ridiculous. They were the mariest sue that ever sued, and when I did a huge story rewrite, I decided to rewrite them, too. Now they're a female named Poppy who struggles with mental issues <.<
3. The story has always been focused on souls, but the actual premise of a soul has changed a lot over the years. At one point, every soul had its own unique abilities and weaknesses, but I decided that idea would make the story devolve into the next Shonen manga real fast. Instead, it evolved into the idea that 7 souls are reincarnations of long-dead gods, and I've stuck with that idea since!
4. Reaper's Storm was heavily inspired by Attack on Titan in its early development, and although that's been alleviated quite a bit, you can still see traces. For instance, Maria actually got her name from Wall Maria!
5. The main cast being named mostly named after flowers has almost no significance. To this day, I scratch my head as to why I named them the way I did. I love all the names I chose, but why flowers? Couldn't tell ya.
6. The main villain used to be a walking, talking dinosaur in a lab coat. Not joking.
7. The clock icon used as Reaper's Storm's logo is intended to be symbolic of life and death, but when I made it, I had zero plans in mind. I just opened up Google Drawings and went ham.
8. The current "Reaper's Storm" title sprawl was actually made for my Patreon a while back, but it ended up being repurposed for general use because it was so cool!
9. Reaper's Storm started out as a pure volunteer project, and a lot of the ideas in the story are a culmination of many different viewpoints. Not many of the ideas are purely my own!
10. Reaper's Storm was originally published on Tapas as a written novel, taken down for a rewrite, reposted, taken down for another rewrite, reposted, then taken down a third time to be reconsidered entirely. Yeah. I was very indecisive back then. Still am, but less so <.<
11. Much of the storyline for Reaper's Storm was thought out on long walks or bus rides over the course of 2+ years.
12. The icon used for The Insurgency was largely inspired by the Papers Please logo!
13. The idea behind The Insurgency was to create a mechanical army of enforcers so vast and indestructible that it would be virtually impossible to topple them. This has shifted a bit as the story has developed, but even today, it's very rare for an enforcer to be taken down by the main cast, and I'm very proud of that philosophy!
14. Time travel, space travel, and plasma weapons were very strictly off-limits when constructing RStorm. Time travel was simply too complex and opened too many plotholes, space travel just seemed a bit too sci-fi for me and opened up standards for the worldbuilding that I didn't think fit with the type of world I was going for, and plasma has been and always will be boring to me as a technology. I understand plasma exists and it's a very useful state of matter, but the way it's used in sci-fi (especially Star Wars) has always bored me.
15. On the note of time travel, I eventually retracted that statement in part. There's no time travel in the sense that you're probably thinking, but there is a special system in place that allows for some time travel shenanigans without the complexities that go with it. Go me!
16. At one point, I played with the idea of having gunpowder weapons be a thing of the past, replaced by coilguns. This ultimately was discarded, in part due to the limitations, and in part because gunpowder weapons are fascinating to me, and I feel as though it's not unreasonable to think that we'd still be using them. Railguns are used, though! Just not as infantry weapons, and not all that often.
17. When designing certain weapons, I discovered that you can't call a weapon a "rifle" if it doesn't have a rifled barrel. So that made me have to think of an entirely new term to call a class of weapons used in the story, and I ultimately settled on "chempiercers"!
18. After playing through OMORI, Poppy's arc was changed drastically. That's all I'ma say!
19. Maria's last name, "Pines", is inspired by Gravity Falls!
20. Daisy briefly speaks German to her father in an upcoming chapter, and this is largely due to my own father - having been stationed in Germany - teaching me bits and pieces of German. I also learned quite a few words from playing Call of Duty: Zombies, but... you know

1. Dominic's complexion was originally much lighter and then kept getting darker in my imagination
2. Part of Essence's physical design was inspired by Nyakim Gatwech "The Queen of Darkness."
3. Essence is taller than the male leads in all three of my ongoing novels
