I see a loooot of artists who want to start but dont due to the fear of their art being not 'good enough'.
I say''good enough'' because in my opinion nobodies art is bad. I prefer colours over art-style.
Maybe im just biased but i prefer story over art :0 a lot of the comics i read dont have amazing-originals-level art but the stories are amazing and i keep wanting to read more. Your story doesnt even have to be good honestly, there will always be people who enjoy it.
So in my opinion you should 100% start if you want to.
Not only do i think its better for your comic skills too, since every episode you draw you improve a little more each time, but also i think no-one is ever ''ready''. You just need to have fun and create stuff you want to :]
Besides, if later on when you have improved more and hate the old episodes, you can always have a ''reboot'' and redraw the whole thing or change it up
Of course this doesnt apply to everyone haha, you dont need to if you dont want to.

Thats all i think, just wanted to give my views <3

You're super right. A lot of people get this idea that they need to start out the gate drawing perfectly, but it's that mindset that holds people back so often. Sketching and making random illustrations over and over without much direction will never get an artist to a point where they think they're good enough for a comic because they'll just keep pushing the goal.

Besides, coming from personal experience, the best thing an aspiring comic artist can do for their skills when they think they're not good enough to start is to just... go ahead and start. Lots of comic artists, both in webtoons and in professional manga/graphic novels, have improved considerably in the span of a few short years thanks entirely to their comic forcing them to frequently draw new angles and shapes. Even I'm super happy with the progress I've made in just one year since starting my comic. And if you find a comic or manga that looks perfect from beginning to end, it's because that artist had to do other comics first to get to that point. That's just part of the process.

Just doing it will give you two things. First it will make you draw. A lot. You don't get better without drawing a lot. The second thing it will give you is knowledge how to make a comic, pacing of a comic, and different poses you don't normally draw for a scene. You literally don't know what you don't know until you start. All the planning in the world doesn't mean much until you start actually drawing it. You will find problems along the way you didn't even think of. And for your sanity, start small. Something you can finish in a month or two tops. Getting one under your belt will give you a sense of accomplishment and make you more likely to make another. Making a 100 episode comic you never finish will just destroy your ability to make more.
