getting 25 subs in less than 5 weeks, I wondered around tapas and seen a bunch of comics with 100+ pages and less than 50 subs and here I am less than 10 pages in and already achieved the first mile stone ='D I am so happy how my comic is progressing

When one of my readers found me at a con and gave me some fanart he made! Thank you @schlisselart

And when there was extended discussion and theorizing about a particularly strange scene I uploaded recently. It was really incredible and touching to see people put that much thought into my comic.

When I get long ass comments analyzing the motives behind my characters and the commenter(s) relating it to real life situations and how well I've portrayed them.

Every time I finish a page it's like a miracle. Thoughts like: "I drew this?" "This is what it looks like face to face?" "This is what my characters look like?" (Cause I've always pictured them and their world in my head lol.) It's just so surreal and it motivates me to keep drawing more and more until the story ends!

My favorite moment is for sure the first time I received fan art. Like, it just came out of nowhere! The person who drew it subscribed to my comic not even a day before they sent it to me and it's so freaking well drawn! When I saw it I froze for a solid five minutes thinking: "This can't be true! You're kidding me!" and I squeaked like I'd never hit puberty. I was so overwhelmed I totally would've cried if I had felt like it. The fan art became my desktop background ever since!

Favorite event, related to the comics from this year: when I've gained a patron out of the blue! Those patrons, which I had on Patreon before, were either my IRL friends, or people who exchange support with me. But I don't know this new guy and haven't exchange anything with him! He just have come by himself, out of the blue, and subbed completely selflessly, despite I even have not much content on Patreon yet. I'm really touched.
Favorite event, related to the comics from previous year: when my first subs started to comment and discuss it.
Favorite thing about interacting with other creators: when they say that my feedback is helpful or/and makes them feel better.

Probably the best thing ever happening to me was...

well, I have printed the German version of my webmanga Remember, and I was sitting at one of my first conventions and suddenly a girl comes by, sees my stuff and claims: "Oh! I know you from animexx! I've followed your manga for so long!"

See, the website where I was active since 2001 is slowly dying and I actually didn't think that anyone there was still active or at least remembered me, so... I was super happy at that moment!

This encouraged me to go on more conventions, where last year, out of the blue, two girls stop in front of me and after a little small talk, I can see that one of her is thinking really hard - and then suddenly calls me by my very first online nickname ever.

Turned out she was a close online friend from around 2000 to which I unfortunately lost contact years ago! And she even lives 15 minutes away from me by car now!

The best thing my webmanga has achieved for me so far: It has connected with new and even reunited me with dear old friends. There have been some hard times, too, but I would not trade each and every one away, because Remember has mainly brought me only good things! =)

My favorite moments...

People messaging me saying that the comics helped them cope or when the characters represent them as they can relate a lot...

Also moments when people say the art is gorgeous and I'm like all shy about thinking to myself "wow I actually made that?"

This one time at the con and there was this girl who came into my booth fangirling and took a picture with me buying my comic :'''D

And when some people message me unexpected fanart :'D
