I can see why it could've been taken that way, but I was not making assumptions about you. I was taking issue with your logical deduction.
My claim was not "you lacked empathy towards women".
My claim was "your argument that 'Person X has CPTSD, therefore it is impossible that Person X could lack theory of mind towards women' is a flawed argument".
I apologize that I implied something false about you. Even if I don't consider "being bad at writing women" a trait worthy of condemnation, I can nevertheless see how one might find it harmful if it's false, just like I'd find it grating if someone called me 'loyal and dutiful'. I let my goal of pushing the narrative that "lacking theory of mind should not be condemned" blind me to this fact, hence I neglected to clarify that I wasn't making assumptions about you since I didn't want to imply lacking theory of mind was something to be ashamed of.
Afaik this is emotive empathy, not 'theory of mind' empathy. I've heard sociopaths can have excellent theory of mind, using it to charm and manipulate people, and that makes them no less abusive. They would be excellent at writing characters different from themselves since they can understand all sorts of people well enough to manipulate them. It sucks that you were abused; those actions should not be excused, and I wanted to make it clear none of what I said was intended to do that :]
