First off, I wanted to thank you guys.
Although I'm still trying to figure out what's spam in the forum and what's not...(So sorry in advance) I kind of wanted to make a quick announcement. Today, was my first tabling experience and I decided to enter a comic I made here on Tapastic way back in January called Gone Fishing. I polished it up, fixed some grammar mistakes, and tweaked it a bit for Tintero, the biggest indy comic festival on the island.
It got nominated for the 2016 Tintero Award for best short comic, and I won!
(You can tell I was freaking out, the judges caught me when I was having a mini panic attack and crippling self-doubt of "why am I here, nothing's gonna sell" when they showed up like "HEY OH CONGRATS YOU WON" )
Honestly, I just wanted to thank you guys because this forum has been helping me creep out of my shell a bit, and be more confident posting my webcomic and promoting it. Actually, I only signed up for today at the con, and even then I sold out almost everything minus a few large prints, some postcards, and buttons. I even got an interview for a local newspaper and I didn't stutter as much.
It's just been really good practice to talk about my work without thinking I'm being annoying or conceited. So thank you (and also LOOKIE!)
