No. Wait. I didn't know if it'll show up in fresh section but you can choose to inform your reader about it when you publish it again.

if you edit a pre-existing update it will notify desktop users only, and no it will not bump your comic up in the app or website as having a new update.

So it depends on what you mean by "Chapter" as I don't think tapas uses that word anywhere. It's always best to make new updates/episodes when presenting new content.

You can notify readers with episode edits, yes... but most people will ignore them, thinking they're nothing significant.

Tapas basically works with the concept that once you’ve uploaded an “episode” you won’t be uploading new content there.
You can add more pages by editing but like said previously, it won’t notify your subscribers unless you specifically say it should in your editing preferences, and even then most people don’t go back and read it because it’s usually used for things like fixing typos or small mistakes, not uploading new content.

Tapas doesn’t really have the classic smackjeeves-esque “chapters”- I think the best way to catatorize things under the concept of a chapter would be by title.
For example, naming your first 10 pages, “Chapter 1: Morning”, and then naming the next 10 pages, “Chapter 2: Evening”.

from experience I can tell you that people really don't pay attention to episode edits. I used to update this way
