Adding Music to Comic

Hi guys,

I am new here so I'm still getting used to how everything works. I want to be able to add soundcloud tracks that I have created but I can't find them in tapas search. Does anyone know a method of easily importing your own music?

Well, SoundCloud is possible to use here, I believe all you have to do is copy the SoundCloud link and paste it onto the thing instead of actually searching for the songs. I haven't used the feature yet, but that seems like that's how it works

That would make sense, but whenever I try it still comes up with other people's tracks

Hey, i've had the same problem! I have yet to figure out a solution to SoundCloud, and the suggestion from @ar-ninetysix hasn't worked for me either.
My alternative was to put Spotify and Youtube playlist links in the description of my comic, and then at the beginning of every episode have a piece of text that informs the reader that there's a song to listen to. People may or may not listen due to it being an annoying workaround, but I haven't been able to find a better alternative.
(tip: you can make the links shorter with bitly to not take up your entire description!)

Alright, so.. I messed around with it, here's what I got for advice. It only gives you five selections to pick from and that sucks lol If the title of the song is unique enough, it'll show up for sure. This means either made up names or specific phrases.

For example, I have a track called "Moonflower (2017)", I thought it was a unique enough title to just put "Moonflower", nope. I looked further into it and searched the year as well and found it like that. I have another track called "Memories aren't enough." and that showed up for me. If you have tracks that use a single-word title, it'll be harder to find there. I found that it's super dependent on what you type in. If it still gets lost in a sea of Soundcloud tracks, try putting your username before the title of the track you wanna use.

If it still gets lost even then, try using the link to the track and cutting the part after Soundcloud in it. For example, (https://soundcloud.com/ar-ninetysix-1/03-memories-arent-enough) gives you nothing, but if you cut it like this (ar-ninetysix-1/03-memories-arent-enough) it should work. Anything past that, and uh.. yeah, give it a different title and try these steps again?

I've been trying all of this for the artist i'm using for my comic, and none of it works. He has a title that's so unique it's the only thing you get by googling called "Gealman", but it doesn't show up. His tracks are indeed on soundcloud and you can listen to them without issues. What i'd like to believe in cases like this is that it's legal issues, and that the artist has in some way turned off these kinds of features? But I don't know. Since you're talking about your own tracks it's not the same type of thing, but It's super weird regardless.

Ahhh, well, that's definitely a different issue. I'm composing music for my current project, so I'd assume anyone asking about these issues is doing the same. But yeah, it's tricky. I actually covered a song to get around copyright and all that. I believe the steps should work the same way for using someone else's music assuming you ask permission? I might be wrong though
