A comic inspired by darker movies such as the thing, evil dead, creep and underworld and games like resident evil, dead space, devil may cry and manhunt. Some episodes are found footage/FPS style.
Setting:
Mines is a survival horror x battle royale that features superhumans with powers range from gross, gritty and plain creepy. After a mysterious 'Hum' sound is heard one night, the superhuman class become carriers of a virus that has terrible effect on other they come into close contact with. Those they infect instantly mutate into feral zombie-like creatures that can combine to form various nightmarish forms (think the movie the Thing).
Story:
The story follows two young brothers who discover their own unusual abilities after hearing the 'Hum'. Any opportunity to rescue human survivors becomes a challenge to avoid infecting them. Dealing with the infected is one thing but they eventually discover a group of superhumans caught in a battle to the death, infecting helpless civilians on the way.
For the brothers, nothing can be trusted, they're at the bottom of the food chain and death is in every direction.
