I'm Moony ((or Grace, whichever)) and I'm kinda new?

I'm from Atlantic Canada and I like coffee, tea, and fantasy. I work freelance in animation and gaming, currently as the lead background designer for a new kid's TV series. In whatever spare time I have, I do comics, belly dance, and a bunch of geeky pursuits. As far as Tapastic goes, I've been active for a little while and finally decided to dip into the forums. c:

I've been working on my series, Shanties, for about a year but only recently added it to Tapastic. ((Its other home has been Tumblr.)) Pirates, monsters, one siren's quest to find and destroy the soul of a vengeful lich ... all that good stuff.

I've done a few informal shorts and one-offs in the past but this is my first long-running comic project. I'm bound and determined to see it through to the end - which is quite a ways off! c:

Anyway, I'm quite happy to be here! I've already met some lovely people and have found some wonderful comics. I'm sure I'll find many more!

Yo. Cool job. I wanted to be an animator when I was younger, but my fam was too poor for a computer period at the time (let alone one with the capabilities for the expensive software). My college didn't have an animation program either.

Welcome Moony it seems the Canadian population at tapastic is increasing every day.
I'm really hoping the same will happen to the Nigerian population cuz I may be the only Nigerian on this website.

That's a shame, but hey! It's never too late if it's something you really wanna do! c: Animation education is much more accessible these days and in fact, some of the best ways to do it are via online courses rather than conventional schools.
