I think he looks like a smug, self-satisfied, wealthy jerk who doesn't understand other people. He hasn't had to struggle for the basics, and he doesn't comprehend why someone would. If he had servants or staff, he wouldn't think anything of having them wait in a closet for 18 hours on the off-chance that he needs them for something, because he doesn't view them as real beings with inner lives equal to his own.
...Since I've read your comic, he seems to me like an abusive older predator who feels like since his goals can be called positive and nobody has the ability to stop him, he can do whatever he wants. It's like a horror story but from the monster's perspective.
