An Inksgiving question

Since this was my first Inksgiving and I’m pretty much new to the whole concept of “ink”, having only recently purchased some for the first time and then purchased some more for Inksgiving, I have a question:

I have received 38k ink from the Inksgiving event but it doesn’t show up in my ink balance, only the stuff I’ve bought does. Is this normal? Is Tapas waiting until after Inksgiving to “release” the ink? I mean, I can see why they would (being able to “re-gift” ink during the event might open the doors to abuse), but I just wanted to make sure this was why I’m not seeing it yet.

Oh, and only three hours left of Inksgiving! We’re getting down to the wire! Good luck everybody! Unfortunately I’m at work and Inksgiving will be over before I’m off, so I won’t have much opportunity to splooge some more ink around. Imma try though…

I'm pretty sure the ink you receive in support can only be released as money through a pay pal account. Support ink doesn't translate into ink you can then use on the site, from what I understand.

The INK you give out (bought with your own money or earned from free app tasks) and the INK you receive from others (which can be converted to actual earnings) are different.

The Inksgiving event is about to end, and I'm getting ready to go to sleep. When I wake up, everything will return to normal.

This is my first time participating too. Is this an annual event?

If I remember correctly, it happens twice a year but I MAY be wrong

The ink you get from your supporters shows up in the revenue and support tabs on the dashboard -

I see it there, but I was hoping it would show up under my total ink so that I could use it to support others. Now I’ll have to do it in a roundabout way (withdraw it via PayPal and then buy more ink with the money, which seems like an awful lot of unnecessary steps)

yea that money received is only for cashing out, true have to do it the roundabout way. You're right would have been cool if we could have also used from that collected ink also to support others.
