At long last, after 742 comic pages, BOHICA Blues has concluded.
BOHICA Blues is a slice-of-life comedy about an Army Reserve unit from Boise, Idaho, that gets sent to Iraq. They deploy, get extended, come home and struggle to re-integrate into society, then just when things are looking back on track, they get deployed again.
Started in 2013 as I tried to communicate my own experiences, I made BOHICA Blues in the spirit of the classic TV war comedy, "M*A*S*H". It is a family-friendly comedy that reflects day to day life, not Hollywood heroics.
BOHICA Blues is now done, and I hope it helps communicate some of the absurdities of Army life, conflict, and society during the era of the "Global War on terror"... a time that now seems almost quaint in light of current events.
More BOHICA Blues spin-offs may come in the future, but right now I am going to take a break and concentrate on another project, a series of stories (comic and text) set in a science-fiction action-adventure universe. It will be more drama and spice, and certainly not family-friendly compared to this historical comedy.
Until later, thanks for the views, and good luck in all your own creative endeavors, whatever they may be.
