I've just discovered MyHeritage photo animation feature. I know it's for photos but the effect it has on hand-drawn characters is too hilarious not to try, so I uploaded some of my characters' portraits and here are the results:

Can't work on my big-eyes characters. I also tried some anime characters... not working .

It only works for realistic faces. Eyes have to be realistic sized.

Yep, this ai is amazing but it's clearly made for pictures.
It only worked "properly" with 2 realistic drawings I made (after testing several), it's scary to see what it can do!

And a big fail here (tilted faces don't look good)

It's not exactly animation, but I did make this little music comic to go with my novel as a milestone celebration.
