to be honest? cool. i can never get enough of myth retellings from a modern perspective, its my field, i guess.
but you do have the problem that its been done and done, so like, how are you gonna add an original spin? There's already a lesbian hades (although I'll always advocate more of that) and... ugh... yaoi hades... and tapastic has a popular comic w, afaik, fairly generic straight white guy hades.
from the sounds of it, youll also be combatting against stuff like lucifer (the comic or the tv show, take your pick) so like, the challenge is to have smth really original and/or amazing art.
id also like to add that, as a pagan, it often ticks me off to see hades - or any hellenic god - portrayed as solely white and very pale. although myths are varied and contradictory, there are accounts of not only hades but persephone and athena too that describe them as dark-skinned, and theres lots of interaction between the greeks and many african groups - in the myths and the people themselves. it would be interesting seeing hades portrayed as something other than a pasty white, especially in a redeeming light.
