Another Design Lineup! Feedback Appreciated!

So about a year ago I posted this photo:

I’m making a Visual Novel, and have a cast of characters. The coding is nearly done so I’m looking at incorporating their character sprites. I’ve tried reworking the designs a few times and this is what I came up with, so I ask you, the people of tapas to lend me your opinions! Any criticism in the following designs would be appreciated. What are your first impressions? What do you like? Dislike? How can they be improved? Thank you! [image][image]

And now, a year later I give you an updated lineup!

With the new redesigns out I thought I'd turn back to the community to give me your guys' first impressions!

What do you guys like? Dislike? Do you prefer one over the other?

Wow! They certainly look more polished! I love them all!

I'm really impressed by the improvement - you should be really proud of them!

I went in thinking "variety in silhouette, body type, and faces" but you've already nailed that! The only thing I would suggest is unifying the colours so they all look like they belong in the same work - #6 sticks out because her purples aren't really present anywhere else in the lineup. Otherwise, great job! They all really pop with personality.

I really like how they have they're colour-coded, and the diversity in their body shapes definitely amazed me!
I agree with @malverav regarding the colours. Everyone have such saturated colours, but 6 and 8 have paler outfits. I think they would look more unified if 6 's skirt is closer to her hair colour and 8's dress is of more saturated yellow.
