The character that didn't make it to the story is Ruth, she is actually part of an early conceptual theme of my comic. I'm not even going to get into her background story since that is the very reason why she didn't make it to the final phase, plus it might spoil the story.
Anyway, Ruth is actually a quiet and reserved character that doesn't socialize, she was taken care of by the ruler of the human kingdom. The king fed her lies and because she was already powerful, he trained her into being a killing machine. Later in the story, what seems like an attempt to assassinate the main character, Nina, they both turned out to connect with each other in a way that causes Ruth to question everything she's known up until now. This was going to be the shift in the story where Nina and Ruth could be friends, but they were torn between, not what they stood for but what they were already a part of.
A little fun fact, the skull on Ruth's head is actually a human skull cut out to be a mask. When she's on a mission she wears this mask to keep her identity hidden. Symbolically, having the mask around was a reminder that her late best friend would always be with her. Ruth's outfit in the drawing was actually made during an even earlier drafting phase of my story so it doesn't mean much anymore. Haha!
Out of most the actual characters that made it to the publishing phase, I liked Ruth the most. However, I had to let her go because the story had changed so much over the years of development. Ruth will always be in my heart.
