For Frostpeak West, there were a bunch. I guess the most notable were There were several teacher who were cut, one of which was a gym teacher. She was cut because I wanted to par down the number of teachers. [image] Zombra had a 6 year old son who ended up being cut. I wanted Zombra to focus on…

If you are worried there is too much necessary details, maybe cut back on what is needed for the story. I would also recommend reading books in the same genre and see how other writers handle it. I feel a lot of them start with a naive hero who befriends someone who helps explain things to them th…
Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears Dirty Laundry - Don Henley Luv(sic) Part 2 - Nujabes
Some writers are known as being comedy writers. Some may even be ghost writers who punch up the script. I also notice a lot of comedian writers have a history in improv or theater. The reason why people can think up jokes so fast is they had training in it. Some might just encourage voice actors t…
If I was forced to make a Powerpuff Girl Live Action show, I would probably do something similar to PPGZ where they aged up the characters to teenagers. I would have them in high school and have plots centered around high school drama and such. Maybe there will be a rival school that the villains at…
I am more of a movie person. The thing I often struggle with in series is that it is becoming the norm to make each episode movie length. It’s hard to motivate myself to watch 8 movie length episodes in a row.
The thing that got me better at drawing hands was to stop seeing them as hands. I think what people struggle with is they have a hard time forming each finger. But when you are drawing a comic, you can't hyperfocus on small fingers. Instead, think of a hand as a shape, similar to a crumpled up wad…

My work just takes place in the real world. But there are mer-people and vampires.
I picked false mostly because what people find romantic is subjective. And I feel authors are just writing what they personally are attracted to. Yes this can run into toxic relationship and weird fetishes. I don't think this means they don't know romance, it's just they have a different view on i…
I saw some ad for some AI app on YouTube and the examples it gave were literally just Anne Hathaway from The Princess Diaries. The app was trying to claim they generated it but it was obviously just stolen. I often wonder if some AI images are mostly just putting a filter over an image instead of …

The word creative implies that they are creating something, even if it's an attempt that might not 100% fit the vision in their heads. I think just brainstorming and dwelling on ideas isn't really being creative if you don't really do anything with it. I also believe that people who "can't" writ…
It's been a while since I read/watch DBZ but from what I remember... The Saiyans were warriors who were obsessed with being the strongest race. This is somewhat why Frieza felt threatened by them. I would think that they might have had a supremacist way of looking at themselves and wouldn't want t…
It's ugly, uncreative, and a bit too overused. It's mostly just recycled from other people's work, and sometimes not always done well. Like the anime AI look like photos with filters over them. It doesn't help that companies are jumping on the bandwagon, it just makes AI Art feel like another l…

There are cases where people did this to their kids. It permanently stunts their brain development. Kids who are rescued from these situations have life long trauma. (I remember there being a TED Talk about a survivor, I will post it if I can find it)

Maybe Nite who can use his psychic powers to make solid objects pass through each other. However he has only used this ability to do dumb magic tricks. Maybe mostly complicated because I don't know how to logically explain how he does it. [image]
for Frostpeak West The kids are 12-13. They are 7th graders in middle school. Zap and Dai are in their mid-20s Zeta in 30-ish Ace in mid-30s Zombra is 50 for Crow's Worth Crow in early 20s. He is suppose to be that age where you become an adult but still feel not completely an adult yet. …
I am going to say what I have said before. I think you just need to sit down and make your comic. I think your biggest hurdle is that you are not used to the process, thus you get stuck in the pre-planning stage constantly doubting yourself. You are going to learn a lot more just making a comi…
I think if they are short and have a similar theme, it might be worth grouping them together.
Horizontal comics are designed for newspapers. They are a bit difficult to read on webcomic sites do to everything being crammed into 800px or 900px. I 2nd using a 2x2 format. The virtual format sort of predates webcomics. Some asian newspapers and manga gag series use the 4-koma format.
This was some webcore inspired piece that I made years ago. I guess it was titled "Scream" [image]

My personal issue with board games is that I find them a bit boring and tedious. That sort of causes me to not find them fun at all. The only games that tend to hold my interest are ones that are more interactive like Pictionary or trivia games. I also had a PC game for Boggle which I enjoyed becaus…
Black beans are common in Guatemalan dishes Black beans with rice [image] Refried black beans on corn tortillas. Ducal is a good brand if you want to try it. [image] Bonus is when they were serve with Queso Fresco [image]
I have dealt with a lot of bad faith critiques that I just don’t ask for critiques anymore. I just get too upset and I spiral into depression.
Here's one for the season [image]

For me personally, I have far more nostalgia for Akira Toriyama's work than I did for Yu-gi-oh.
Most of my characters are from my cultural background, American. But I never made a character with my exact ethnic background.
I usually come up with lastname for my characters. They are usually themed after an element and/or their cultural background. I was almost not going to give Zeta a lastname but I ended up changing that after finding some old notes where I called him Aaron. Now his name is Aaron Zeta.
