Hello! I'm part-Filipino, pero pinanganak at lumaki sa Pilipinas. But I'm currently in Japan (medyo matagal na din)
Bago lang din ako sa Tapastic, like last month?
Nakakatuwa andaming Filipinos dito.

Haha, Hello. Medyo matagal nako dito sa tapasitc pero ngayon-ngayon lang ako napunta sa forums. As much as I want to translate my
comics from English to Filipino I'm honestly having troubles to do so?? For some reason parang nagtangle up yung Filipino literacy ko sa English. Sad. But yes! Hello to all.

@BlackMantaStudios Not me. Medyo mayayabang ung karamihan sa GP tsaka wagas kung mang-bash pag "wala sa level" nila ung drawing kaya ayoko sumali dun.

no problem @avimHarZ, okay din nakita ko yung scene ng indie comics dito sa pinas. Na meet ko rin si Lui (creator ng Oh the Irony dito sa tapastic) for the first time since nagkakilala kami sa smackjeeves years ago.^u^

@BlackMantaStudios yun ba yung FB group ng guhit pinas? May nagsali sakin dun before pero umalis din ako agad dahil puro realism lang nakikita ko. Bored ako pag realism, ang art para sakin more on custom painting and fabrication.

Boring nga yung puro kopya lang ng reference. =_= Walang individuality. Oo nga, magandang tingnan, kaya lang para walang substance. Speaking of creativity, parang trabahong tamad yung ginagawa nila.

Good thing to know I'm not alone in this belief. Kaya lang ako nandun sa group para magbigay ng tips dun sa mga baguhan bago sila mapayuhan nung iba na "gumamit ng reference pic" o "gumamit ng gridlines." I really hope we can encourage more Filipinos to appreciate original content and other art styles than just realism.

Meron ako nabara na ganyan sa tapastic chat dati dahil may tinawag syang 'ugly' art dun sa 'contest' dati. Tinanong ko na paano mo naman nasabing 'ugly'? para sakin kasi no such thing as ugly art kasi expression yan eh. Then sabi nya "no mappy! you can tell if an art is ugly. For example you drew a face sideways then you placed both eyes on the side...bla bla". I told her that to me thats more artistic! kasi naisip nya gawin yun.XD compared sa ginagawa nya na copy reference lang. Gawa gawa ng contest tapos walang criteria basta drawing lang ng model. Then by voting yung winner.XD realism is isang napakaliit lang na part ng art eh... so dapat kaysa guhit pinas dapat realism pinas na lang yung name ng group.

@KoalaMari Hello fellow pinoy! yung guhit pinas isang group of artists sa facebook. I think open group sya.

ohh I see. I checked it out and their artworks were amazing napa grabe inday ako. Pero dito din magaganda tapos may mga story pa along with the drawings and I think that's what makes it more creative besides the art itself. In my opinion mas nakakaentertain ung iba iba style tas may story.

@mappypaint I heard na nahack sila dati tapos nadelete ung group. Pero meron na ulit. I hate the fact na feeling nila larger than life sila just because they have 52k members.

@BlackMantaStudios May na-encounter na akong taong magaling mag portrait at realism pero pag pinagdrawing mo ng cartoony sa animation mali proportion, perspective, etc. Copying from refs don't make you good.

Mas maige pang mag-join sa foreign groups and this forum kase mas friendly mga tao.
