@queentrashmuffin Oh dang! I hope you do make those stories (and I'll be the first in line for a trans Wizard of Oz story).
I have a 5 year-old who identifies as male but is gender non-conforming in terms of how he dresses/media he consumes. As of now, we don't know if he wants to spend time with someone like Rapunzel, or if he wants TO BE Rapunzel (so we're making sure we cast a wide net in terms of the people he meets and the media we consume so he'll be better suited to make the right choice for his gender identity in the future).
But yeah, I've been dying for a Wizard of Oz tale centering on Ozma and her trans-nature. I'll never forget my 5 year-old's reaction at bedtime one night as I was reading "Land of Oz" to my kids. We got to the part where the boy hero, Tip, is transformed into the rightful Princess of Oz, Ozma, and his eyes just lit up and he said "Boys can be princesses?!" I've been wanting to write comics starring Ozma ever since- but I just lack the agency (so, as I said, I'll be the first in line for a story like that).
If you're interested, I have a book "Unstoppable Monkey Bunny" and I have a transmasc character, Cyaden (they're the opossum rocking the mohawk in the below panel).
But thanks for making this thread. I'm going to dive into some of these later and see what I can pass along to the family. I'm looking forward to some great future reading material.
