Anxiety.
But I'm in a small house and need to exercise more than to the fridge for a beer. I went for a walk (which felt like some kind of intense pilgrimage). <<- I'm talking zooming periphery, can't breathe, everything is so damn loud. But I walked anyways. So I focused on the sidewalk, one foot in front of the other until I reached the corner. Crossed the street and then repeat. Looked up to this amazing dracaena and right next to it was this funky post with an ornate glass paned box. Behind the glass was a print out of a random quote:
"I'd rather be someone's shot of whiskey than everyone's cup of tea."
What the hell? So I walked home, more curious about the randomness of it all than all the traffic and sirens and helicopters and smoke (SoCal). I went back a few days later and there it was again, but with a different quote.
"Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance. Love, the Army Corps of Engineers."
And then I fell in love with the idea that someone was putting a bit of random into a walk that for me was excruciating. Not a cure at all, but I look forward to stepping outside of my house more times than I have in a very long time.
Anyways, just a share. But I'm on Tapas as a refocus, I am very appreciative of such an amazing creative outlet and digging conversations like these.
Thanks!!
