Something I'd like to do is compose a song to play in the background, at least once for my comic.

So now I'm curious if anyone else composes their own music for their comics? Please feel free link me to some if you do, I'd love to hear it!

I don't, but it'd be super awesome if folks did! I just have a playlist of stuff folks make on Youtube. >_> Like EnigmaTNG.

I tried making my own music before in the past, I even still have my keyboard, but it was way too hard. I can't read music either, it made some stuff a lil more difficult for me, ha.

no but Iv'e written some song lyrics to put in my comic and it's not easy to write them.

I haven't done it personally, but I've had fans compose some music scores for both my Raven Wolf, and No Future series.

What would you label fan made music under? Just fan art? Or something else?? I don't know.

I do it myself ^^
But i don't yet have an episode with the music included, but i will in the future

Stitcher2 is an old incomplete comic I put uploaded recently with music I made. I just make tunes for fun sometimes, I don't know how to read music or really took any classes so idk. I had a couple of pieces I made up while thinking of that comic so there's some music in like 3 episodes of the comic.
I have a bunch more music on my soundcloud but :v they aren't really for that comic.

oh man i really really wish i could that would be so rad. there IS a part in my comic that i keep envisioning a track sounding like this1 to though so if i magically learn how to compose music in however many years it takes to get there i'd go for it.

Yup! Radio Silence is about a rock band, so there's music and songs in it. My brother studied composition in uni so together we make an effective team!

What's everyone's favourite way of showing music in their comic?

I've composed some era appropriate songs for Hot Metal Miami, but i'm not too sure about adding any of it to the comic, it's been mainly for my own enjoyment. I might add a few to certain sequences once I get to them, but from what I've seen most people don't like the whole music with a comic thing. I might just make an entire soundtrack and share a link for anyone interested or something.

I dabble in music occasionally for both Guardian Ghost and Fighting Dreamers with various MIDI programs (and more recently LMMS)
Not enough to have an official soundtrack for either of them but I can at least use it to commission people for music stuff as an example for what they should go for.
Although I really wish I had more patience for music cause I would LOVE to make official songs for characters. The whole idea of having a specific motif being used for a character and hearing it in another character's theme like "OH WAIT THIS ONE'S ASSOCIATED WITH THAT OC" is the coolest thing.
I have a lot of music snippets on my Soundcloud actually

This is awesome threat! I am teaching myself to animate and I'm working on a short movie so this has been on my mind? Does anyone have a good resource list for music production?
