Anyone else cleans their Tapas series subscriptions (reading list) being too many?

It's kind of a self-rambling thread.

As reader I had 360+ subscribed series lately, and a lot of them have not been updated for years. I picked from the furtherest page & slowly unsubbed the ones that are inactive over 1 year, and keep the very good ones (also some finished works) for nostalgic purpose. Now my reading list has reduced to 308...

Feeling sad for the good comics that probably will never return... so much potentials!!!

Yeah, it does stink when a series hasn't updated in months or even years. And i get it, life gets in the way or people lose motivation or just decide its not for them. (Or even possibly something happened to the creator, which is a dreadful thing to bring up.)
And yeah, i can totally see not wanting to bother being subbed to one that may not return. I think for me its easy to say that cuz im not subbed to as many as you are but there are some I'm reading that havent updated since 2020 but i go back to them just cuz i like them.

I am super picky, so I don't have 300 series in my reading list, but I have looked at my reading list and thought 'oh shoot, I'm subbed to 40 series already? I'm never gonna get through them all!' But then I actually read them and remembered that comic making is SLOOOOOW, and 40 series is nothing considering the pace of updates XD

Welp, reading this thread actually made me curious to see how many comics and novels I have saved in my library. Turns out, I have 165 series saved and I really should check many of them out, including the ones that have been abandoned. I usually don't unsub because I always hope I'll find the time to read some, but I do believe I'll start unsubbing from those which I don't find interesting.

I have a large library because I've been reading comics on Tapas for long enough so about half of the stuff I'm subscribed to is either completed or abandoned, which is fine, because I like them and want to be able to find them again if I feel like re-reading them. I only unsubscribe if for some reason the story doesn't interest me anymore. I don't see why having a long list of subscribed comics could bother me, it's just like a list of bookmarks.

I do from time to time. I tend to add series to my subscriptions as a sort of "to read" list, and I will usually just go through them when I want something to read. Sometimes the series isn't for me, so I unsub. Doesn't mean it's bad or anything.

I don't really pay attention to when they've last updated, but I'm more likely to read a series I get notifications for being updated regularly because it means I can keep up with new updates.

I don't keep up with a ton of comics, but the ones I do I'm always super excited to see when they update.

I probably should clean up my list for any that haven't updated in over a year or have stated they won't be coming back, but like ods are I really like the series so queue in So Hard To Say Goodbye haha.

I have lots on my list and it grows faster than I can finish, but that means I always have something to read and when I do get to sit down and catchup I get to show some love for folks work I dig
