A studio I work for actually held a contest in which artists had 2 hours to draw something on a given topic, all live. I didn't join the actual contest as I wouldn't stand being watched by a giant audience though they had an online version where people uploaded videos of paintings they did home in 2 hours.

This was my contribution on topic DARKNESS: (the title of the painting is The Bat that was Afraid of the Dark)

Why don't we hold an event where we give a random topic and who is interested, may paint something and post a video of it?

Also, what software do you use for screen recording?
I remember it took me a lot of effort to find something that showed the cursor, didn't slow the computer much, recorder a selected part of a screen etc... And I still had to give up on the cursor showing the brush which none of the tried software supported...

That's neat! And the recorder I use is Camtasia studio 6, I bought it for 80 in USD but I'm sure there are free ways to get it.

Aha, thanks! Though I will still probably search for a free software, I don't want to spend money on a thing I won't use often and don't want anything illegal on my computer
