Anyone else feel like they try rush through scenes that you're not as interested in?

God, I try not to do it, but I have a couple scenes I know need to be there, but actually sitting there are drawing them is UGHHH so I find myself making things a lot more messy than I usually would because I want to get it done

For me, that's currently a fight scene I'm dreading and yet I know that that scene leads to a scene I've been really looking forward to do, so now I just wanna get it done!! It's not like I can slack off for a fight scene either, cos then the audience won't know what's happening.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I'm probably slower at scenes I'm less interested in, because my art is always messy so my speed is not a matter of neglecting to polish my art but a matter of how much motivation I have to do the art in the first place :'D

I really enjoy writing long, rambly dialogue scenes in my scripts... but I hate drawing them. Pretty much all scenes where characters stand around and talk would be at least a couple of pages longer if I followed the script as written. I usually realise while thumbnailing "I don't want to draw these characters standing/sitting around for another couple of pages just for this little bit of unessential lore and this joke, let's get a move on..."

Honestly I actually think it's mostly a good thing that forces me to keep scenes focused on the point, and allows the plot to keep moving at a decent pace. In case it wasn't obvious from my forum posts, I have a tendency to ramble.

I think we all get that from time to time.

Ultimately, if the scene needs to be there, it needs to be there. So, there's nothing for it other than just hunkering down and getting it done.

It’s usually the scenes where characters are just talking with each other like development scenes or getting to know each other. It’s slow and builds up their character and world, but so slow to the point it sometimes hard to write.

I have a new approach that I´m trying out and that is that I try to make every panel exciting for myself.
Here are the ideas behind it:
I enjoy it more and don´t rush to get it finished.
The second thought is, when the panel is not exciting for me or even boring, how can it be
exciting for the reader?
