Anyone Else Made A TV Tropes Page For Their Series?

I remember surfing the site for hours when I was younger, and still come back after finishing a series I like, so I figured it would be fun to make one for my novel. Does anyone else do this?

Here's mine. Some things from the most recent episodes have been spoilered, but be warned that not everything is.

Eyyy, a troper! I made one for my very first webcomic attempt (which I've since abandoned), but haven't done one for my current series. But I intend to do so when I have more content up (and the tropes are actually in the publically viewable eposides rather then just my harddrive)!

The Errant one could probably get some updates, but I'm trying not to go in and do it myself because I know creators aren't encouraged to make pages for their own work. I know somebody else did do an update on mine at one point... but I had to correct it because they got a plot detail wrong

@darthmongoose Congrats on getting on the list of Tapas webcomics! Ah, I didn't realize creators aren't encouraged to make their own pages, whoops! I guess I can see why. Creators may have a tendency to let their own biases slip in, plus I think I had one case where I accidentally listed something in the tropes that hadn't actually come up in the story yet.

I myself found a lot of fiction to read or watch through that website, so I was hoping that other people could find our works in a similar fashion.

@CommissarTarkin Yeah, that was part of my thought process too! I added my series to the Webnovel page.

I did! The author of The Devil's Trill made a tweet about making a TV tropes page for their own comic and I thought it would be fun so I made one for mine.

I will go back and be more specific with my examples but I don't want to spoil the story. There are a couple spoilers because I know I won't be bothered to add them later and they're coming up soon in the story anyway.

I mean even if creators aren't supposed to make their own, I'm the person with the most accurate info so I can and I will Plus I enjoyed finding tropes that fit my story.

It's perfectly okay as long as you stick to facts and don't do YMMV stuff etc :] And yeah, don't do what I did and list tropes that haven't actually come up in the comic yet (I tried to get my page cut recently-ish because there are less than 10 tropes that actually showed up in my 5-or-so pages, but they never did anything about it :'D)

EDIT: @smokesalty You can tag your spoilers by doing [[spoiler: the spoilers go here]] :] I would really like to read your page but I also hesitate to spoil myself I have absolutely no ulterior motives for telling you this

Not me, but a kind soul made one for my comic a year or two ago. They must have done a little digging to get some of the info, and I'm not sure if they're even reading it still, but I'm grateful for the time they took to make the page.

I was thinking about making one myself before this, although I'm really trope illiterate so I never made it past looking through other comic trope pages for reference. xP I don't touch my trope page specifically for this reason, I would accidently destroy it.

Oh, one more thing (hope people don't mind me playing the self-appointed trope expert XD); for peeps who are hoping for publicity through their TvTropes page, people probably aren't going to find your page unless you do some Crosswicking (in short, copying your trope entries across to the Examples list on the corresponding trope pages, but making it so it links back to your page instead of to the trope etc)

'Cos if you think about how you find new works to get into through TvTropes, it's not like you comb through random work pages for something to read, but you start at a trope page and have a look at the examples. If the trope pages aren't linking back to your page, people aren't going to find it :'D

That's true, although I do sometimes look through some indexes that interest me and pick out something to read or watch from there.
