This is kinda why I draw my characters until I get used to drawing them so that they look relatively consistent
Things just change by accident gradually and I only notice it after a couple months.
Any of you guys have this happen to you? (share them below!)
For example, when I first designed Anopheles, he had pretty much a buzz cut, a very differently shaped mask and mandibles
He also had suspenders but I hated them and removed them intentionally so there's that
(ALSO THIS IS MY OLD ART I PROMISE MY WORK LOOKS BETTER NOW)
And then when I redrew him again, I ended up adding slight cheekbones- SLIGHT. His hair length changed slightly and his mask slightly ( I barely noticed I did this at the time)
AND THEN I GAVE HIM HELLA CHEEKBONES (and also eyebags because my man is middle aged) His hair became longer gradually and his mandibles changed in size (idk why don't ask me)
And all these small changes still kinda kept his original design intact while being very different but like some of it was just uninitentional!
(I was gonna go more into how I changed his face but like his "face reveal" is a special moment in the comic
) SO NO I WON'T
