I'm surprised someone came in and found this!
I'm a big fan of Donald Duck, both in his classic shorts as well as those wonderful adventure comics by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. Seeing that hot-tempered Duck get such a fantastic expansion feels grand. Donkey Kong gave me similar feelings, but that's a different story.
I've actually been introduced to PK through an old Disney game here.
It's a nice game. It's not perfect, and a bit short, but it was fun for what it was. I did like the idea of Donald as a Super hero. Even if he wasn't the extreme best at it, and even if he didn't always get things right, he did what he needed to do. It did get dark, and was a little weird, especially for Donald Duck. But I welcomed it with glee because even a silly-styled super hero can be placed in some harsh tales as long as they find a way to come back on top and triumph over the forces of evil. Strangely, its these stories, and some of Donald's non-PK ventures, were ones that influenced how I wanted to write action-adventure stories while making someone like Donald Duck and making him heroic. And the comic series ended on a high note. Was it too soon? Maybe. But it was a blast. Down with the Evronians!
Thanks for posting this~! It brightened my day!
