I typically don't watch ecchi (as I prefer a payout for a tease) since it tends to just take me out of the moment with how absurd it can be, but I'm also an equal opportunist ahem anyway, I got into chainsaw bc it looked creepy a-f, and yooo it totally delivers on the visuals uncomfortable levels of eerie and creative symbolism.
I was recommended it by a friend and was confused why they told me to watch it, bc the main character seemed like a typical perv protag, but like He's just a simple boy with a lot of nothing and he really grows as a person and character and I'll tell you another thing that surprised me too. The women in that series are written very well and are compelling a-f as characters and I ain't gonna lie, I was shocked bc I really wasn't expecting that from what I thought the manga would be about.
So like I totally get why it was recommended to me, despite first appearances. So I get where you coming from bc I wrote it off as ecchi too at first hahah.
