Some beautiful work on this thread! I love working in black and white, I use 2 grey markers and a thick ink pen, I really like the results. Good luck OP!
My comic varies on medium from chapter to chapter - I switch up the brushes for each chapter. I tend at the moment to do one scene in colour and then switch to black and white.Latest page:
Thank you! Working with b&w is/was really enjoyable, you can create such a nice variety of textures and moods with a pen. In a way I like working with it more than color.
Tried to at one point, but the comic just wasn't picking up. so I had to switch to a completely new comic idea.
It was very time consuming for me too, since it was all hand drawn on paper. But Honestly, I would like to try it again in the future when I gain more confidence and improve my art. (Erasing sketch marks were the most horrible part of all. lol)

This is a page of my own manga,'oyasumi' which is for now only to be found in actual books, instead of online. But I thought I can share it in here for you.
A small tip I would like to give you is: If you want to follow the more-kind-of-manga-way, don't use too many panels in one page.

I rarely keep track of how long a page takes cause it varies all the time. My rough estimate for that 2nd page would be around 6-8 hours. I'm pretty slow haha...

I have another b&w/grayscale short comic planned. Sometimes it's just easier to not color anything, and I do like the atmosphere the lack of color can give.

Sometimes i add color, but it's mostly grayscaled.
