I used to do a lot of vector work for work:
Vector is a super technical workflow. Which is why I don't like using it unless I NEED something super-smooth and infinitely scale-able (which is rare).
I've seen amazing painters and artists pick up Illustrator and make work that looks like it should belong in a high school Power Point presentation. I think it's because of this technical workflow, it becomes a game of hopscotch between the left and right brain that can sometimes paralyze artists, who are known to use much more of their right brain. /armchairAnalyst
I personally don't like Illustrator that much, but it's possible that I may try my hand at making a comic in vector someday (Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I suppose =_=)
Also... reusing assets is a lifesaver @_@;;;
