I have returned with more monstrous creations!
@Raven_C
The monkey-frog, or mog (no, that's terrible, don't call it that). I'm not a big fan of monkeys to begin with, but this is something that lurks in a swamp and swallows children.
Picture the coarse fur giving way to slimy skin, the long, thin fingers grasping at you, and the too-human mouth opening to let out a harsh, rasping croak.
@inevitabley Great ideas, very disturbing.
I thought the mog was the worst, and then I drew this. This is a creature that slithers into your dreams in the dead of night. You wake, gasping and soaked in sweat, your chest tight with dread and the scent of decay lingering in your nose. You struggle to recall your dream, but all you can remember is the quiet skittering of hundreds of tiny feet.
Pavo medusa, or the Medusa peacock, is known for its stunning fan-tail of snakes. Despite the ostentatious nature of the males' display, the females are far more dangerous; though much smaller, their snakes are highly venomous. The mating rituals of P. medusa are known to be violent and sometimes deadly, but are not well documented as bystanders can easily be killed by the displaying serpents.
The snake-peacock is definitely my favorite of this set.
