Okay, I'm not usually the type to start conversations but I have to step up or who else will help me?

1. Favorite anime

I'm more of a gamer, but some faves are: Last Exile, Kakurenbo, Tekkon Kinkreet,
Ruroni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, XXX Holic. (I haven't consistently watched One Piece, Luffy is awesome)

2 Hobbies

karaoke, music jams (vocals) and hanging with friends, gym- but slowed down last year bec the cord from my bioforce machine broke, got to start back this year!

3 Favorite songs

no true #1 faves, mostly mood based- these days lots of chillstep and darkwave on YT. Taste all over the place Video Game sound tracks mostly frm Tekken 3, Shadow of Colossus and Final Fantasy 8.
EDM, New wave, Pop from 80s &90s (Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode etc) , rock from the 80s -2000s (Journey, STP, Billy Idol, Killers, Linkin Park, NIN, Limp Bizkit, Queens of stone Age etc) nu-metal, indie rock (The Black Angels etc) , garage rock, shoegaze (Slow Dive etc), East Indian classical music (Raagas), drum and bass, dubstep (DeadMau5 etc), Soca Music sometimes (from Trinidad). could go on and on lol

4 Gaming experiences

this will turn into an Essay XD
Been a gamer since as long as i can remember it also inspired me to study videogames design.
[Actually my comic series I'm ̶n̶o̶t̶ a Sick Boy!started as an action-horror game Idea: where the player is the carrier of a virus and any npc he infects would instantly turn into monsters. The player had to rescue survivors from the infected without infecting them].

Some fave franchises include: Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, MGS, Devil May Cry, Shadow of Colossus, Street Fighter and Final Fantasy. While MMORPGs and Open World rps are inviting i developed an avoidance for playing them lol

Lately gaming slowed down due to adult responsibilities, missed the ol' days stayin up with my brother cousins and friends and playing games nonstop. MMORPGS and Open Worlds are inviting but afraid to get sucked in. That happened when I played Skyrim, loved it but 0 nights of sleep and slackin off RL, had to quit and passed it onto my younger cousin who had more free time than me lol

Been continuously dabbling in UNREAL on the side, the aim was to always make my comic series into a game. Love gaming over the other mediums because of the interaction and immersion, and the way it was a fun way of bringing friends and family together throughout life.

1. My favorite shows and anime are Phineas and Ferb, Clone High, NCIS Los Angeles, Sailor Moon. I also love all the Ghibli movies and Star Wars. I don’t watch a lot of tv. I’m not a big binge watcher. I would also just rather watch a video essay on YouTube or a documentary that suits my interest. Also Psych is really good show. It’s amazing!

2. Besides art and drawing comics, I play video games and I like to bake stuff. I’m always up for a game of tennis, badminton or pickle ball. I also love the water and swimming and animals. I used to collect bugs when I was a kid. I also play piano, sing and play Irish flute. I am also looking to learn how to play guitar and drums.

3. To get this out of the way I am a big Beatles fan. I mainly like music from the 80s and music from the golden age of the movie musical. I am also a huge broadway fan too. A lot of my music I like is instrumental and I’m also avid classical listener. My favorite composer is Mozart and Debussy. You can consider me a bit of a classical music nerd. I’m gonna be here all day I keep going.

4. I don’t a lot of games but I really love Super Smash Brothers and Minecraft. Those games have been my special interests since childhood.

5. What is your favorite sandwich?
   Mine is a good old BLT! 🥪

To answer your question @stiatent I am from The United States living in the potato land state of Idaho. It’s cold and dry and our most famous resident of this state is Napoleon Dynamite.

To answer that second question I am both a writer and a comic writer. But yes I do read as well. I read mostly non fiction books about science and the human body which is also one of my special interests too.

And for the last one @stiatent

DUH! To go to both Houdini Museums in Appleton Wisconsin and Scranton Pennsylvania! AH DUUUR!

But also to travel abroad, maybe find a partner to marry, go to Paris, England and Ireland. And if I brush up on my Japanese maybe to Japan with my mother.

Also to go to school and get some form of education so I can actually afford these things.

@abigaillmartin nice Idaho sounds awesome, never been. Studied and lived in Florida for some time but currently reside in Trinidad (Caribbean). Lol I rem Napoleon Dynamite, never saw the films but i rem the character. Prefer the cold anytime vs the heat of the Caribbean, didn't know about it being the potato state, that's fascinating
What's a popular place there, or a fave popular place of yours in Idaho?
And any fave urban legends from Idaho?

@kyupol Sweet the Philippines never been either, my Landlord in Orlando had Pilipino ancestry but is from the US so a rare opportunity meeting someone from there
What's some of your fave locations/ tourist-y spots over there? Fave beach/cove too?
Yep sounds like a great retire goal, the sound of ocean waves and winds nearby is awesome and u can go for a good walk out there at your convenience

@stiatent I mean. My mom’s cousin owns a sweet shop with all kinds of sodas cookies and candy from all over the world there. It’s in a place called Rexburg and I’m going to school up there.

Nothing super crazy here in Idaho but there’s a nice restaurant called Manwaring Cheese which serves cheap but yummy grilled cheese sandwiches. It was built in the mid 1950s and it still has the vibe to a degree.

Also there’s an aquarium and a museum here with an old timey town I always love to walk around through. Even a mock train station in the museum so that’s neat. There’s also a big library here but unfortunately I can’t get books from it because it’s not in my boundaries where I live.

Lol yep Houdini Museum XD i gotta visit those someday too, would be fun to trek across US one day. My brother was in Connecticut but recently moved to New Orleans, planning to visit him sometime this year so would be 1st time for me in New Orleans. Nice your mom is in Japan? Paris, England and Ireland are also awesome. Lived in England as a little kid, as my dad went there to Specialize in his Medical Practice, an't remember if we visited Ireland but remembered going Paris.
Haven't been to Japan either but its in my bucket-list, fan of their culture and admire Hein Era art.

I’m not from Idaho unfortunately. I was born in Washington State and grew up in Virginia so I don’t know any urban legends here.

I guess Washington State has a lot of Sasquatch stories. That’s all I know.

@stiatent yes. My mom lived in Japan for two years on a religious mission for the LDS Church. (I and my family are LDS) That was back in the late 90s before I was born.

But yes my mom can speak Japanese and has been wanting to take us there someday.

yep those old timey European -esque places are awesome! Been scouting architecture like that for the MC hometown from the comic series. Manwaring Cheese almost sounds like Man Wearing Cheese XD That's awesome they cheap and yummy a great deal then

Aquarium and mock train station are deffo interesting, the most aquarium i prolly been in memory was Sea World lol - another series idea heavily inspired by deep sea and fascination for aquatic life, a great plan to revisit some aquariums when that time comes

Which is also a Houdini location. He’s buried in Queens in a Jewish cemetery I can’t remember the name of and his house (one of them) is there too so that’s neat!

I’d like to pay my respects and give him some shiny rocks. You can’t give flowers to the graves at a Jewish cemetery for cultural reasons. You can also give cards coins and even magic balls. So yeah that’s also a goal. I guess it’s rite of passage or pilgrimage for being a fan of his.

I love aquariums though! I’ve never been to Seaworld before but I have been to the aquarium in Richmond Virginia back when I lived there.

Me and my family would also go up to Washington DC and go to all the Smithsonians too!
My favorite is The Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. I’ve been to The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument. I’ve seen the Declaration of Independence, the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. I’ve also been to Thomas Jefferson’s house Monticello a few times and Mount Vernon too which is George Washington’s house. Here! I have pictures of Mount Vernon actually!

And I have also been to Yorktown!

I’ve also been to Colonial Williamsburg too.

Not sure if a similar legend exists here but in Trinidad they call the Dwarf like beings here Dwen (you all have some Spanish influence too right?)
In Trinidad, whenever I visit my elderly aunts, and they pack food for you to take home, they usually put a raw pepper in the bag as they believe it keeps spirits from being attached to the food. Trinidad is a vast mix of Spanish, British, East Indian, African and Native Indian legends, many I'm unaware of lol.
