Anything you’re super excited to get to show in your comic/novel?

I beg forgiveness for my tl;dr ahead of time—this is half of why I usually try to just lurk on forums haha.

SO. We’ve all been there. We’ve all started something with the intention of getting to the Scene or the Moments, or that One Character we can’t wait to finally show.

For artists, that results in new character art long before the story’ll showcase them. Or even doodling that moment. For writers, sometimes that’ll be a specific scene you write out long ahead of time or concepts you keep thinking about.

For example:

In Fireburnt (a story where Beauty didn’t break the Beast’s curse, and it is up to a immolated young man to do so), I want it to be the moment Chao and the Beast finally connect. Where Chao lets down his barriers and they are able to understand each other openly, even if all is not revealed at the same time.

In Run & Cry Wolf (chaotic, impulsive, fun necromancer and a hot werewolf make out sometimes except Dead Cousin Petey’s Dead And He’s Gotta Be AvengedSomehow), I’m super excited for the Moment the werewolf gets some stubble/facial hair. THERE’S GONNA B FACE KISSES AND CHEEK RUBBING​ Also excited for when they’ll just get some more cute moments.

In Last Call (nonbinary supervillain meets nonbinary superhero android with trust issues), it’s all the romance attempts and softer moments. Like...handholding. Like cuddling. (EDIT: Can’t believe I forgot about Kissing and Relationship Struggles Because Neither of Us Are Good At This). But also emotional conflict. I’m excited.

As much as I want to GUSH about my upcoming chapter I cant say much...this chapter I give my MC a very hard time- an older new character pushes my MC to certain zones that they arent quite comfortable with yet. Alliances are formed; relationships are re-affirmed- and the bad guys return!

Plus I have to draw a HORSE...help me, Debbie...

Oh God, there's too many moments in Momma's Boy (my battle shonen project) that I wanna write in as an answer. I can think of like 9 right off the bat lol so I'll just go into the first 3 that came to mind. Because it could count as spoilers (though it's far from finished), I'll do this instead!

I made these summaries of the moments I wanted to talk about, but you can choose to read 'em more in-depth so yeah!

Main character respects women, but is forced to fight a girl. Oh, the feels!

Koji (the titular momma's boy) has to fight a girl. He's got such respect for his mom, that he just kinda respects all women. He doesn't wanna fight her, but a situation forces him to, and you can tell it's hurting him in the moment and afterwards.. it's just.. ugh, gotta get those feels lol

Main character gets wrecked in a fight and a previous bully feels bad

Koji fighting this huge beefed-up brother (Hagane) of some bully (Kogane), It's a "just you wait, my big bro can beat you up" kind of threat, and it happens. This guy absolutely destroys Koji, breaks his arm and stuff. Kogane is there, but he changes his mind like "alright, that's enough, dude." Hagane doesn't care, he just wants to beat the hell out of Koji and uhhh yeah it's a stressful situation lol that's all I'll say about it

Love triangle??? Also violence!

Lastly, there's a love triangle sort of. Asuka loves Koji. (Childhood friends, unrequited love) Shizuku has a crush on Asuka. (Unconfessed feelings.) Koji is Shizuku's best friend. Stuff gets crazy later on like a 100 chapters in.. Koji's changed from "I wanna protect my friends" to "I just wanna fight, and if I protect my friends, that's cool I guess", Asuka's only got bittersweet feelings now after being rejected by him, Shizuku starts to be pissed at Koji's recent actions and for hurting her feelings. Because it's a battle shonen, violence and feels ensue. You really get to see how much they've changed from the beginning up until until this point in these chapters,

My hopes are that it's as fun for someone to read it as it is for me to write it!

I'm super excited about the ending - the dramatic villain reveal, the intense moments of action and suspense... and my favourite romantic subplot has such a cute ending!!!

I'm also super excited about two particular fight scenes - a gun-fu fighter VS a greatsword knight. It's so wacky and fun and the dialogue is hilarious. I am genuinely excited because it's in the next chapter!I know people are going to like it. It's especially good because it's been a while since there was a good gritty fight scene. Fights are my favourite part of action comics.
The other one is a really one sided fight. It's kind of a revenge thing. Not giving too much away but it's super bloody and violent. I love to draw a good beat-up scene to be honest.

Kissing scenes!
In Dreamcatchers I put the first kissing scene between my main characters to the last chapters, and I just can't wait for it! <3

In Furusato House the first kissing scene will be in the next chapter!! So I'm super excited about it! Especially because I have no idea how to draw it, haha.

I just want to introduce all the characters! That's my biggest excitement right now. Also all of the characters meeting each other. Also awesome fight scenes. Big emotional scenes. All the scenes. :V

I can't wait to get to the part of my comic, where my MC gets his scars. It's a sequence of events leading to him getting hurt on which I spent most of time in my script. XD

Pretty excited about the current chapter i'm posting to my comic All Broken Gods. It's gonna be the weirdest chapter as well as the most suspenseful. Features this guy, the slimy trash demon:

the chapter 4 climax is a part ive been waiting to draw since i started the comic and is arguably my favorite comedy scene in the whole story. has the same energy as this image

and just chapter 4 in general its supposed to be a very aesthetically pleasing chapter so im doing as much as i can in advance so i dont sacrifice the art quality to make the update in time.

on a much larger scale i cant wait for chapter 9. finally introduces the villain and it doubles as an anthology of backstory narratives. spires villain is so much fun to write and draw.

And then there will only be about two years until it gets posted BUT STILL, it is the hope-burgeoning light on the horizon

I'm just excited for my characters to not all be twelve anymore. I want to draw adults for a bit, but I will settle for teens. Proportions and expressions get so much easier.
Also, teens are fun to write because being a teenager is objectively horrible and we all spend it as kind of confused disasters of self discovery. Nobody should have to be a teen.

In It Takes a Hero I would like to get to the point where I have presented all my characters. There are 8 "heroes" in total, but so far only 5 were introduced. In two more chapters I'll get to that point and be able to work their relationships more (be it friendship or love interest). Also I want the villains to show up, they only get names and motives around chapter 6, until then it's a mystery why things are happening.

In AVPOHP I already got to the 1st point I was dying to write, when masks fall. The next scene I'm anxious for is the ending. In my head it's pretty cool, let's hope I deliver it like that lol.

I have a particular character I'm really excited to introduce! And a later scene that revolves around him and another character. I'm very very excited to draw these scenes, and it's so tough waiting to get to them.

I really wish I could draw faster; even besides those two scenes, there's so much I'm excited to draw.

I'm excited to show...
-Better quality pages.
-Properly start the main adventures and show what the comic is really about XD.
- Right now we have barely met 3 main characters. Main cast members are missing.
-Also, we haven't seen darkness yet.
