Hello everyone,
I'm taking a moment to publicly apologize to B Mehr, the talented artist who graciously created a custom book cover for my novel. I want to express my deepest gratitude for her kindness and skill, but I also need to acknowledge my shortcomings in our agreement.
When I first joined the Tapas community as an author, I unknowingly used an AI-generated cover, which led to me having to replace it. That's when I reached out to B Mehr, and she selflessly agreed to create a new cover for me. I promised to give her full credit, read and engage with her comic, and promote it to my readers. She went above and beyond, creating a stunning cover that exceeded my expectations. I was thrilled and thanked her for her hard work.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including a two-month power outage in my area, I suddenly disappeared without updating her. I understand if she might have felt unappreciated or confused by my silence. For that, I am truly sorry.
Unfortunately, my situation has taken another turn. I've lost the manuscript of my novel, and despite my best efforts, I won't be able to continue writing it. As a result, I can no longer fulfill my promises to B Mehr. I've decided to return the cover to her, as it's only fair that it belongs to her and her partner, who poured their talent and effort into creating it. I've already updated my novel's cover on other platforms and will remove it from my social media.
B Mehr, I want to thank you again for your kindness, talent, and generosity. Your cover was breathtakingly beautiful, and I'm so grateful for your help when others were unavailable. I'm deeply sorry for breaching our agreement, but I hope you understand that I'm unable to fulfill my promisess. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience my disappearance and breach of agreement may have caused. You and your partner are kind people, and I appreciate your work.
Thank you, and farewell.
