I'm curious if anyone has tried this, and whether it's even allowed.

Assuming you got your comic removed from the app.
What if you had two versions of your comic? One that is the actual comic, and the other a heavily edited app-friendly "dummy" version that remains in the app. The dummy comic would update every time your actual comic updates, letting the app users know about the update, and leaving a link to follow to the mobile site of the actual comic's update.

Has anyone tried this?

Do you suppose people would bother clicking through?

I guess you might have readers just reading the censored pages too... Then it'd be more like a song that has clean/radio and explicit/album versions.

I've seen people's move to other sites by leaving their comic behind but the only page left is just a redirect link, or does upload the comic on both but the sex is immature from tapas and they upload the full version on their site. Not sure about effectiveness.

Hmmm, yeah. I think I've seen that too.

It'd be interesting to see someone attempt to build an audience in the app despite being removed from it lmao. While on the other hand I understand why no one would bother.

If I was a reader of a dummy/redirecting comic I probably wouldn't check the real page out unless it was my absolute favorite comic.
