I pretty much make all of my artwork traditionally (partially including the comic I'm working on). This is my most recent work. A drawing of Red Hood from DC Comics.

As for my supplies, I usually use a standard mechanical pencil, a Pentel Hi-Polymer Eraser, some Sakura Pigma Microns, and some Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I like using them, although I should consider getting some higher quality markers since some of them tend to overlap with the ink (which you can see on Red Hood's jacket). Other than that, I enjoy doing traditional art.

What a great topic! I believe that traditional art is highly underrated now in days. I draw a horror comic with my traditional art style because it matches the darkness of the storyline better here's the cover from the first book of the comic series.

Yes, a good topic indeed =] Well, I guess I'll share some of the illustrations I included in my book, "Tras la Puerta Prohibida" (Behind the Forbidden Door, only in spanish for now). They are made with calibrated markers, you can check my art on Insta if you are interested.

Thank you. It took a lot of practice to get things looking good. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I use thick smooth watercolour paper as well. I prefer it over the marker paper I've used so far.

Oh I hate marker paper too. I use smooth Bristol paper. (If you want to get specific, I use Strathmore's 500-series, in 2-ply plate finish, because I like how it takes the ink, and it comes in big sheets I can cut down to whatever size I want.)

I love the coloring!! The shine on the hair looks especially pretty.

I recently started digital art, and then switched back to traditional. Made me really respect traditional artists a lot more because there's no magic undo or lasso tool, which makes life sooo much easier

I love traditional art. I have been using digital too, but I always do the planning and lineart traditionally. I think you can't get the same emotions with digital. Traditional is more expressive, and freeing. It's a very spiritual process for me. I feel a strong connection with the paper and pen, and I can feel my energy flow from my body, through the pen and ink. With digital, that feeling is dead.
I use the following supplies:
Higgins ink
Dip pen with Leonardt Birmingham nibs
Sakura Micron pens
Van Gogh watercolors
Poems About You handmade custom watercolors (etsy shop. Love their stuff!)
Russian candy wrappers (for popups and clothes)
Embroidery floss
Straftmore sketchbook (might switch to a moleskine later, as the curving of the pages warps the artwork)
Pentel Aquash brush
Crayola crayons
Prismacolor colored pencils
oil pastels
Yellow ink I made myself from turmeric
Gold ink and white ink
J. Herbin ink
And yeah! That's a lot, but it's all the art supplies I've been using as of now!
