I have grown to hate youtube videos for instructional anything. Especially computer problems or how to use a program. Just type down the process for ****'s sake, don't make me watch a 15 min video of you explaining how to do something that can be explained in a simple ****ing sentence.
Art vids can also be pretty bad for this. Instead of 'hey lemme show you how to do this' it's a 'Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii this is so and so let me talk at the slowest possible speed I can, hey let me tell you what I am going to do, I'll be using this program so that means the video will be for THIS program specifically but that doesn't mean it can't be mimicked in other programs, alright now that the introduction is done let me just justify my technique with samples of work I used it in, show examples of what it looks like with and without it, talk about some unrelated stuff about the colour wheel and how a colour triangle is better, go into more detail about that, do some examples to justify my claim, here, what you actually came for, let me just explain .... this... as... slow......ly... as.... poss....ible.... how... to.... click.... on a.... drop down.... menu..... and select.... an option...." And that is how you do the thing, thank you for watching don't forget to hit the like and subscribe and check out my channel for other awesome tutorials."
(Speed paints are cool though, I enjoy those as long as no one is talking)
