Are there HomeStuck Style Comics on Tapastic?

I was wondering about a certain format of webcomics in which they are presented in one panel at a time instead of pages like Ava's Demon, The SkyBox, and even HomeStuck. Is there a name for that type of comic format? I thought this format would be called HomeStuck style comics because I know that HomeStuck has done it in this format.

Also is this type of format allowed on Tapastic? I was curious because I was thinking of using this format for one of my comics but I wasn't sure if Tapastic would be able to present this format since most comics are viewed via scrolling.

This type of format is certainly allowed on Tapastic, but I don't think it's ideal. The website isn't really set up for rapidly clicking through panel-by-panel, and I think most readers would get frustrated by that approach here. It could work better on the app, since you can continuously swipe through the to next pages. Still, readers may find that fatiguing.

The other issue would be the huge amount of episodes which could deter readers, and if you're updating panel-by-panel, your subs may get overwhelmed by the amount of updates that begin stacking up.

That's not to say it's a bad method of doing comics-- but I'm not sure if Tapastic is an optimal platform for them.

Any format of comics is allowed on Tapastic, so single panel comics are a-okay.

But I agree with Michelle that the might be hard to scroll through. Most comics like that are on their own site with the navigation button right under the comic so people can click to the next one.

That being said, you should tell the story in whatever format you think fits the story best. If it's a well told single panel comic I'm sure people won't mind scrolling a bit.

Countdown to Countdown is presented panel by panel on their own site, but on Tapastic it piles multiple panels into a stack for a more vertical scroll-like experience. I'm guessing they decided the scroll format works better on Tapastic. There's nothing preventing them from using the same format on both places, though.

I am definitely a fan of those types of comics as well and im glad you asked this question so i could see what others say. I have one like this and what i do now is update 2-4 panels an episode! It works alright since they stack up nicely and you dont have to worry about the flow. If youre really worried about it looking not neat bc theyre next to each other, you can try adding a frame around each and it would look like images inside a solid colored column. I dont do that but if you prefered that, itd be fine. hope this helped!

If you drop at my anthology Mayhem, there's one comic titled "Scarlet Moon" that I did in similar format, except I merged the few panels and text together to save some space.
