I would ready just for that title. However personally I found the synopsis not weak but not exactly piquing my interest however it does make me wonder what is the darkness that is being spoken of her (please don’t tell me. I like surprises/mystery)

The synopsis doesn't provide me with enough of an urgent conflict for me to be interested.

I don't like the wording of the second part of the title. I'd rather just see it as Hymns of Sol. Or if you really want to give a hint to its genre right in the title then Hymns of Sol: a Dark Fantasy.

As for the blurb, it's way too vague to pique my interest. Like is he literally leaving the shadows of the slums (I'm imagining they're like a subterranean part of the city), only to find out the rest of the world is just as grim? And the second part is very vague too, it can be applied to many other stories, what makes yours stand out?
