Art Leaning - How do you deal with that problem or do you have it at all?

This makes it that you see a drawing you created and may think it looks good, but when you flip it or look at it through the paper in front of the light you can see how deform it came up.

> * How do I fix it now: For now, I fix it digitally because in digital is pretty easy to flip the canvas over and over again until it doesn't look leaned.

> * What I still need and ask of you: I always draw in pencil and then pass it to Photoshop to correct it. But I would love to be able to sketch traditionally and not having to fix it in digital for the drawing to not look wrong.

I try to sit up straight or from an upper or lower level with my chair, but it still looks wrong. Do you know some tips about posture or mistakes I could be doing?

I do have the same problem right know. What helped me was to keep on studiing. Like watch some tutorials for anatomy and that kind and repeat it. Working with those balls and boxes helped me to place the eyes and limbs and so on, so my stuff got less deformed as it was before.
But still it happens and if I don't see it till I've drawn the lines, I arange them digitaly aswell. As far as I noticed, it will get better with practice and understanding of anatomy.

I believe taking breaks, turning the paper upside down, and/or looking at it from farther away could help you spot that kind of thing as you go, and correct it sooner by hand. I don't have any posture suggestions, I'm afraid. But keep working hard, keep studying anatomy (or start if you're not doing that? I just assume we all do that), and you'll keep developing your artist eye and spot that kind of thing faster.

About the transition from traditional to digital:

Some people use digital pencils. Personally i use an ipad pro with an apple-pen because it feels like using a regular pencil.

Which tools feel better for you may be different to what i feel comfortable using. Before buying any new tool i recommend you to try it first, to see if it feels comfortable to use for you.

I can't spend more money right now but I have heard many people telling that being able to see what they draw in a screen changed their life.

Oh I do practice anatomy and have studied it!

Until now, however I still felt that it helped only as a basis, like in difficult postures or just basic lines.

My favorite artists draw like I'm drawing rn, with just basic layout. But maybe I should be more detailed! Because I'm not at their level yet!

Seconding the suggestions to occasionally flip your drawing upside down and to use guidelines. Look into construction method drawing. Obviously having a mirror handy can be helpful, but I don't find it as useful as the digital canvas flip personally.

About posture... Pay attention to whether you tilt your head when drawing, as I do. It's an unconscious habit, but it definitely affects my work. I've heard some people say it won't actually cause skewed art, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Whenever I realize I'm doing it, and correct it, my work always turned out more balanced.

I know I used to flip the paper around and hold it up to a light. This would essentially be "flipping the canvas" in a traditional sense. Though this doesn't really work if you're using paper that's thicker than normal.

I need to draw in an angle in order for my drawing to come out ok. It's really disproportionate if I draw on a flat surface. I have a drawing desk that I can adjust the angle.
If I'm not sure if the drawing looks ok, I'll turn it upside down. Usually, I can spot really quickly what needs to be fixed.

Turning it upside down is a good tip!

Though I'll admit I've never really done that myself.
It honestly just comes with time and drawing over and over again. I've noticed with my digital drawings when I flip them now I don't need to make adjustments most of the time.

OHHH i misunderstood the question, my bad!
I usually turn the paper upside down. It's not the same as flipping it digitally, but you can still see if your drawing's leaning one way or not.

Keep on drawing characters facing left (our right), or vice versa (depends on you). As in when you're not even drawing, doodle, and even when drawing your actual characters. You'll get it in no time. Guidelines and angling help tremendously, too, and when you're used to it, you'll be able to "ad-lib" them just fine without the use of rulers and such. Hope this helps

oh! I do that all the time, but it seems just doodling a lot isn't enough If I'm repeating the same mistakes over and over again
