Thank you! I've recently gotten in the habit of painting studies before I paint the final piece. Otherwise, I'm expecting myself to sit down and paint a perfect painting on the first try. Like, you wouldn't ask me to sit in front of a video game and win on the first try. That's too hard! Thus, the studies.
I use daniel smith watercolor paints and I got the nice arches paper. can't recommend enough the nice paper. worth every penny. shit just like...blends now. I practice on hot press paper because I bought it by accident and now I have to use it. its great for color studies because the colors are more vibrant, so you can see the difference in the mixes. the final paintings are on cold press. ill attach the one I'm working on now.
