Before I get started I would just like to say that I have never posted in a forum on any website so I apologise for doing anything incorrectly.
My name is Avory Lo'Raven and I have been organising a brand new comic series based upon Firaxis Games' Sid Meier's Civilization V Brave New World.
The artist will be required to draw each page of the comic weekly at a reasonable price within the next 2 months for an unknown amount of time.
The artist will be supplied with the comic script as written by myself and even preliminary sketches of each comic page if the artist requires a visual aid or for specific features within the comic.
This comes about after the original artist for this comic series bailed out and now I am searching for a replacement.
The previous artist for this project would of charged $70USD for each page of the comic. It would be ideal for the replacement artist to charge the same amount per page. Any smaller fee would be beneficial but anything more expensive would have to be negotiated. (I am open for negotiation)
The comic will be in full colour with shadows and a background detailed enough to look visually pleasing. An example of this would be http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15033210/
The amount of pages in total the comic will feature is currently unknown until the story and script are completed within the next 2 months. But I predict that the comic will feature at least 100 pages with an upper bound estimate of 300.
NOTE: The comic project has approval from the developers of Sid Meier's Civilization V, Firaxis Games, but profitable monetization will not be possible. The only money aloud to exist within this project will be from myself and others within the comic to pay the artist for their services. At no point will anyone be aloud to sell or profit from this comic other then the artist through production.
Other Comic Details:
The comic will be based upon a game of Sid Meier's Civilization V Brave New World played by 8 players representing their furry characters. This game will be recorded from all Points of View and the footage will be viewed and compiled by myself into a script of events and then into a story and comic script. This script will then be forwarded onto the artist who would produced each page of the comic. If the artist requires a visual aid for each page I can produce one with each scripted page.
The Comic will then be published weekly on Taptastic and FurAffinity. Any of the 8 players and the artist may publish pages on their own accounts or on other websites providing they link the comic back to the original on Taptastic, the artist and state that Sid Meier's Civilization V belongs to Firaxis Games.
Because of the setting of the comic and the nature of Firaxis and 2K Games' social media this comic maybe published by the game developer and publisher accounts providing the comic is successful enough, this may raise the profile of the artist and provide additional advertisement.
